Hi Gabbin, it'll happen - for me it's a numbers games - two years ago when I started I got about one win in every hundred comps I entered - I think
my strike rate has decreased significantly in the last twelve months but I still get wins. Then you'll get a big win and you'll be addicted forever.
Have faith and enjoy the banter in the meantime!

Sorry to be the downer, but shows like ACA etc make it seem like you'll win every comp you enter...unfortunately not the case. You're one of hundreds,
if not thousands of people entering, so this is mostly a LUCK game. My motto is Enter & Forget! Then you'll be pleasantly surprised with every
little win Best of Luck gabbin! |

Some of the comps you have entered may not have even been drawn yet, especially with the Xmas break many companies have just gone back to work this
week. Wins aren't necessarily instant and easy coming, it can take a while many competition entries to win, often lottos members go long periods
without winning. Stick with it and be patient and I'm sure you will find your returns at some point but its about having fun and enjoying it too, and
the excitement of maybe getting that winning call, email or letter not just the expectations that you'll win. I'm sure we will see you in the winners
circle soon |

If you're a bit impatient for wins try some instant win comps...a few listed.
Otherwise get in line like the rest of us! |

I have been a member for 2 and a 1/2 years. My strike rate of wins has never been better than 1 in 100 whereas other people have a better strike rate.
I am a bit fussy with what I enter though so I am probably not entering as many comps as other people do. You will eventually win and like someone
said you will be hooked if you win a larger prize. I treat lottos as my hobby so I don't expect to win everything I enter but I sure do have fun
interacting with the other members here and if I don't win my dream prize but someone else here does then I get very excited for that person and I am
never jealous of anyone's wins here either.
Stick at it and good luck. |

First, if you don't have a separate email address for comping then that's the first thing I'd do before entering another competition. If you keep up
with comping you will soon be inundated with email. There's no point getting annoyed. It's part of the game. Promoters offer us prizes and in return
we agree to receive advertising.
Second, a month isn't a very long time. Contrary to what the tv may have you believe, even some seasoned compers can easily go a month without a
prize. Just keep entering and look out for comps with lots of prizes (eg. The Age has one at the moment giving away 100 movie tickets) and check comps
for your state only, as that way you're not competing with all of Australia.
Good luck.

There are literally tens of thousands entries submitted for some comps...
You shouldn't expect to win and then if you do, it's a bonus!
There are members here who try and try without much more success than movie tickets on occassion..
it's all in the attitude and yours needs a slight adjustment

I've had prizes turn up, and when I've gone to look to see what competition it was I won, it was something I entered 3 or 4 or even 6 months
previously. Especially magazine comps - they take a month from first day they open till their closing date, they can then take a week or two to
judge, then they send the list of winners to the company providing the prize. Some companies are great, and others take two months to put things in
the post.
Over 3/4 of my prizes just turn up - no winning email, no phone call.
So you never know, a whole heap of prizes might be on their way to you in the post - or not. As other's have said - you have to enter A LOT to win -
I win about one prize per 150 comps entered.
Good luck - keep at it - you never know what's around the corner. |

Don't forget that it usually takes up to six weeks for prizes to arrive, or even to be noitified of a win after the close date.
I usually begin to hear of winnings 4-6 weeks after the close date.
you need patience and A LOT of luck |

Like jaxsaur, I suggest enter and forget.
I see comping as fun and a hobby and if I win a prize, it's bonus, and like langod, many of my prizes just turn up in the mail.
Apart from comping, lottos is a great community, friendly and very helpful.
And if you want something in the mail, you can always go to the freebies- there are some good ones |

Yep always gives me a giggle when i see the ACA stories on winning comps, there are a few very lucky people who are great at Words or less comps and
product comps, i have entered over 200 comps in the last few months and yesterday i got a double pass movie ticket and i won a cook book from a
product purchase a towel and a board game, which i am delighted with it is a hobby and keeps me busy, but i am pleasantly surprised when something
turns up in the mail as i enter and forget and and i feel one day i will have a nice win, keep entering just don't have expectations, best of luck for
an encouraging win soon. |
