A suggestion for the Monthly Winners Url list
Currently we have the rule that names of winners are not posted in this forum. I was wondering if we can relax that rule for Facebook competitions.
Although FB rules state that people who run promotions through FB are supposed to collect details and contact winners, many don't. They just post a
name and expect the winner to see it and contact them in a timely manner. I've found out I was a winner on a couple of occasions when a nice FB friend
tagged me but I wonder how many I've missed.
What do you think Andrew? Can we relax the 'no names rule' for FB comps, or even create a separate thread each month for FB monthly winners lists
where names can be listed? Or even allow first name & initial, or even just initials? |

I'm considering if we should just allow winners names if they have been published elsewhere already, but strictly no identifying of the member name to
the real name.
CompTracker, first ever competitions tracking system!

That would be a great idea, because I don't have Facebook so I can never check the winner's lists on there. If someone could copy and paste initials
or whatever, that would be wonderful. |

Probably a great idea Boss esp as we can't know all the winners all of the time so it would def help to list names and have friends who actually know
our real names alert us to the fact. |

I'd probably be more happy with initials and a link to the page. Would avoid any privacy issues for Lottos members and general public.
At least if we saw our initials, we could click through and check the full name. |

Me too. Then we can just search our name on lottos and voila, hopefully we find our name in the urls as a winner of something |

Also with e.g. comps like the recent House & Garden comp where winners are slowly being announced and they're ringing some of them...is there any
reason why we can't see the phone # from the company that's ringing so we know just who it is IF they ring? It's not as if it's an
individual??????????
So for FB comps etc what format is the name going to take?
NB from NSW or as it appears on FB or what?
