How much did you win in 2013?

Probably a little early to post but I thought I'd start now because I've got links to 2 previous year's polls and I'll use exactly the same ranges for easy comparison?

Link for 2011 Poll -
http://www.lottos.com.au/competitions/viewthreadlite.php?tid...
Link for 2010 Poll - http://www.lottos.com.au/competitions/viewthreadlite.php?tid...

Someone else set up the poll last year and I've searched but can't find it. If someone can find it, let me know and I'll put a link up.

Feel free to stay anonymous and just click on the amount you've won, or you can add a message if you wish.

$30,001 to $40,000 -- 15 (4.81%) -- 15 (5.86%) -- 15 (6.94%)
$40,001 to $50,000 -- 13 (4.17%) -- 9 (3.52%) -- 12 (5.56%)
$50,001 to $75,000 -- 13 (4.17%) -- 7 (2.73%) -- 7 (3.24%)

Over $200,000 -- 6 (1.92%) -- 1 (0.39%) -- 0 (0%)

Total 256 responses - 325 responses - 216 responses

Median (where 50% of people won more & 50% have won less) = around $10,000 for all years 2010, 2011 & 2013

Won less than $1,000
2010 - 10% (1 in 10 members)
2011 - 15% (1 in 7 members)
2013 - 14% (1 in 7 members)

Over $50,000 (our big winners)
2010 - 8.3% (1 in 12 members)
2011 - 5.9% (1 in 17 members)
2013 - 5.1% (1 in 19 members)

Just by these statistics alone, more people are winning less than $1,000 and less people are winning over $50,000. It's what we've all been saying, that it's much harder to win these days. 2013 shows the same trend.

This would have to be my best year by far just over $50000,
I am awaiting for a few more smaller prizes to arrive.
I would say I have put in the same amount of time as the year before.
You never know what you could end of winning.;););)
Thanks lottos for making many dreams come true this year:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I'm a little competitive, but only with me...so I set myself a goal of$20,000 by the end of 2013, and I only need $250 to get there.... a year ago I looked at other lottoers wins and couldn't believe they could be so lucky...so whether I win that $250 or not I'm one very happy lady...sitting here looking at all the Chrissie presents I've won wrapped up under the tree is so unbelievably... unbelievable :) :):)

Good year here too - With this weeks prizes I have just gone over the 50 000 too.
Been doing this a few years now. Some good - some bad. I now just stick with my strengths. That seems to work for me a little better : ) Wishing everyone a Great Christmas and a "lucky" 2014 !!!

Best year ever!! Big cash win ($78,400) and various other prizes - all up about $85,000.

I haven't won much at all this year!

$1000 cash i think was my biggest win. Very few wins but as i refuse to have Facebook it is probably my own fault. Have been a bit overwhelmed with family stuff this year and really have not entered as many store comes as i usually would.

I've had an excellent year. (worked extra hard for it though)

I never keep a running tally, I just enjoy my wins or sharing/giving them away.

Don't have time to keep a tally. Back in the good old days I would keep all the winning letters in a folder and occasionally look through in amazement. Now even that has fizzled.

My comping goal for 2013 was to win an overseas trip and I achieved that by winning not one but four! By far my best year, I think it's around $58,000.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas and good luck in 2014!

Mine would be much more if the value of prizes was not inflated. Supposed value of vintage caravan I won was listed as $38,500. If I sell it it, should / might be around $10,000!

No trips this year.

about $5000 worth all up

I am around $7,000 which smashed my previous year's record. I still haven't won any trips, which high on my hit list (along with Australian Open tickets) but I have been blessed with a solid year of winning.

Under $1000 however all wins have been such a bonus and a $250 IGA voucher was worth thousands at the time, next year will be the biggest one, very happy with any win.

I won just over $10,000 which I'm happy with since I had very little comping time this year. Every prize helps and is appreciated!

I have been comping for about 7 years and in that time have won on average about $20,000 each year but this has been a terrible year only wins of $5,500.00. I have become a little disillustioned and as a result I think I have not entered as many comps but it is nearly a New Year and things can turn around very quickly. I had a good clean out of my comping study and loaded up my car and took about $1,200.00 worth of prizes to my local Ronald McDonald House as they were looking for prizes to give out at their local fund raising Ball so they were happy with my donation and so was I as I could not match that value in cash.

I hope everyone has a great 2014 and continue to enjoy their hobby....comping.

Terrible year for me. But I haven't had as much time to comp. Previous 3 years I've won around $20K and at least one holiday per year. This year - no holidays, and only about $1200 total! Oh well! Hopefully 2014 is better and I find a little more comping time.
Congrats to those who had a winning 2013.

I'm $36 away from hitting $13K. Hoping to get a WEM or something in the post Monday or Tuesday to hit that total.

I'm over 13k but my spreadsheet got corrupted. One big win does make a huge difference to people's totals. Mine wins are mostly humble wins and not cash. As Kismet said, he real value of prizes is much lower. I gave much of it away. Sold a couple of bikes. I still need to sell a Bob motion stroller. Good luck to eveyone. The mos annoying thing, other than voting comps? Fb wins that expect YOU to find THEM or they redraw!

Prize wins 2014: $37680
Prize wins 2011: $13000
previous years about $25000

The harder you work the luckier you get

I've had a pretty good year. But, I used to always keep track of what I've won and I've become slack at that this year. I think it's worked out well because it = more time to enter lol. Still, based on other years, I think this years tally would be over $20,000. Happy with that for a hobby! :)

ETA: In saying that, I have started keeping track of what I'm SPENDING to enter comps and balancing that with the actual cash (and giftcards) that I've gotten. So by the end of 2014 it should be interesting to get a better picture of what monetary amount is gained. I think, for me anyway, comping actually brings items and experiences, but the money I spend in the various ways to enter generally equals the money that I make from comping.

I hate the FB 'lack of' notifaction too gr82do. That's why I asked Andrew if we could publish winners names in the winners lists. Makes it much easier to find if you've won something, but we need more and more people to post winners. The first thing I do when I log onto Lottos each day is search for my name incase it's listed as a winner somewhere.
