Creative Comp/WOL Comps
Hi fellow comers!
I'm new to the comping world and am here mainly to find out about Creative and WOL competitions. Just wondering if a comp is listed online, do any of
you send in an entry anyway?
Thanks so much! |

Hi Newlywed. Welcome to lottos! I see you've picked up the comping lingo already! Good luck with your comping and I hope you have some lovely wins.
To answer your question, I always stick to the T&Cs and if an entry can only be submitted online, then I would never post a creative one to the
promoter, as in my opinion it is cheating, unfair to the other entrants and just goes against the spirit of comping. People put a lot of effort into
their online WOLs and adhere strictly to the rules but unfortunately sometimes promoters forget their own rules and are dazzled by mailed-in entries.
It's just not fair. I have been fortunate to win two lovely overseas holidays in the past three years by posting in creative WOL entries but the
T&Cs were very clear in each case that a creative entry could be sent in. I went on each holiday with a clear conscience, knowing my entry was
won fair and square and that everything was above board.
This is just my opinion but one I think that most of our lovely lottos members share.
Best of luck! |

Completely agree with dwin. If the terms say enter online any other form of entry is cheating. There is also a growing contingent of campers who are
proactive in contacting promoters who run online wol comps to make sure they will be adhering to their t&c's. So, my advice, if you are a
wonderfully creative comper search out those comps made especially for you...there are loads of them listed here

I also agree 100% with Diwin. I am not creative, so leave them to people like yourself to send in their creations if T&C's call for mail in
entries.
I have won an overseas trip with a 25WOL online entry. Many others here have too.
As long as you follow the T&C's, and keep comping, I am sure you will have great success! Good Luck |

USA, Singapore, Vietnam, NZ (no flights), Sydney, Melbourne.....all with WOLS. However I'm finding trips harder and harder to win. Lots of competition
these days. You have to be in it to win it though! Good luck with your comping

My one and only overseas trip was an online creative entry ... as requested in the t&c's ... I agree with everyone, each to their own moral
decision, but if the t&c's say WOL entered online, for me, anything else wouldn't be fair and I'd feel pretty guilty if I won that way ! |

I'm off on a Tasmanian cruise in a few days, won with online 25 wol. Small trip compared with some others here but I'm happy!
I totally agree with what everyone has said on this topic. Obey the T&C!. If it says online entry only that's what you should do and they should
not even look at any mail-ins. Anything more is cheating. And don't try to justify it by saying you only mailed in a creative as a back-up to your
online entry, or that they only judged the online entry and the creative mail-in had no bearing on the result, or that you rang the promoter and asked
could you send in a creative....still cheating if these avenues are not open to everyone and clearly stated in T&C. You may get away with it..some
do..but I don't know how you could come on here and proudly announce your wins or how you could enjoy them when in your heart you would know you have
taken unfair advantage. |

Newlywed....from our perspective pushing the bounds of creativity is what these competitions are all about and encourage you use every bit of your
ability as all these are judged on creativity not luck. Always work within the rules of the t&cs...we have enjoyed our best year yet due to our
creativity and poetic strengths....and we will for many years to come hopefully! Lottos is a wonderful site with a whole new world waiting for you! |

LA (going in 2017), Byron Bay, Local and interstate experiences and Winery weekends.
My other overseas trip (Venice) was a purchase entry - so make sure you keep your receipts in a safe place too!
Good Luck! |
