Ballarat & Bendigo advice

Hey guys

I'm after a little help. I'm heading down to Vic for a long weekend. I plan to go to sovereign Hill, ballarat and a visit to bendigo. I'd love to fit in a visit to Daylesford as well.

I am planning on staying at Kryal Castle for at least one night. Debating between staying there one or two nights wig the extra night at Soverign Hill hotel or I think Mercure in ballarat. I love the idea of the uniqueness of the castle.

I'm trying to work out roughly how much time i need at each of the following: sovereign hill (inc the night show) exploring Kryal castle and time in bendigo. I.e. sovereign hill, is an afternoon and night enough, or do i need to plan most of the day there? I can't work out how much there is to do in bendigo, so not sure if a couple of hours is enough to look around or need a full day or to stay up there for a night.

Any advice?

Thanks

Kaz

Two of my favourite places, Bendigo my birth town.
Ballarat & Daylesford have the most amazing B& B's , well worth thinking about.
All areas have loads to see & do , a visit to The Mill market in Daylesford also offers great food & shopping.
Botanical Gardens in Bendigo are lovely as is Wombat Hill Gardens in Daylesford also offering a lovely place to have a coffee or lunch.
My memories of Kyral Castle , 20 years ago was not good , so hopefully it is heaps better these days.
Sovereign Hill will be amazing & a day there will disappear quickly.
Lake Wendouree in Ballarat is also great as well as the tram ride around the lake.
Enjoy these wonderful towns.

Thanks so much. Apparently Kyral castle is very different according to tripadvisor and they have lots to do there.

Thanks. It's always hard to judge if sovereign hill is a few hours is enough or run out of time type of place.

Went to Kryal Castle last month. Great experience, probably could have spent 4 hours or so there but we didn't have time. There was an international jousting tournament on which was fun. It's been done up a bit- food ordinary and extra outlay for potions making class, chariot ride etc but still good entertainment for Mum, Dad and little one. I'd probably only go again to stay and do the murder mystery night.

Thanks for that. There is actually one on one of the nights I'll be in the area.
