After suggestions for Paris accom
Something where it doesnt look like every day hotel anywhere else
With character but without the hefty price tag if possible
Heading overseas as part of a work trip, and its a side trip for a night so ...
Suggestions appreciated

Have stayed at Villa Beaumarchais a couple of times and LOVED it. Perhaps not to everyone’s taste
It’s in the Marais, not far from the Bastille and very close to Metro.

Found the wrong one at first google and I’m very surprised another place with almost the same name very close by. It looks quite nice

We always use Airbnb in Paris, we prefer apartment sized accommodation rather than hotel rooms, they have something at every price point, character
and views. We always choose the hosts with loads of positive reviews. |

We will be there in a couple of weeks, chose this hotel because of its fantastic location, slightly quirky decor and small size...after a ridiculous
number of hours spent researching. Son and his Francophile girlfriend gave it the thumbs up.

Have a look at luxury escapes
They often seem to have Paris accom at a bargain.
We stayed at the best western not too far from the Sorbonne. Not flash but only a few mins walk to notre dame, the louvre and the lock bridge.
Just near there is a supermarket which was
Really convenient. However the rooms aren't flash. Adequate, pretty good for the price we paid but if after some luxury prob not the place. |

That looks good. I enjoyed the Pantheon. No excuse for you not to go. Foucault’s pendulum is there and a lot of big names, isn’t that sad to say that.
from memory Voltaire, Victor Hugo. The interesting looking church across the road was closed the day I went but it looked interesting. |

I have stayed here a couple of times:
http://www.hotel-montparnasse.com/en/
It is just a regular hotel, but has Galleries Lafayette just down the road, has an airport bus stop outside, is right outside the train station, you
can see the Eiffel Tower and has lots of shops and restaurants. It is quite reasonably priced. |

I've stayed a few times for work at Hotel Passy Eiffel. It is in a good neighborhood with many restaurants, cafes, shops, and supermarkets nearby and
is very 'Paris'. Small rooms but many rooms have a view from the window of the Eiffel tower (within walking distance) and you really know you are in
Paris. It is close to the OECD and in the mornings, you can see all the parents walking their children to school. edit: there is also a laundromat
in the next street if you need that

We stayed at this place, when we were in Paris three years ago:-
rue des Rosiers
4th arr.
Paris, 75004.
It's a simple 1-bedroom loft apartment in a charming part of Paris, within an easy walk of Notre Dame (about 10-15 minutes but we always took longer
due to stopping and staring at the Seine!) and Centre Pompidou.
Lucky you - a side trip to Paris! *Sigh* I miss Paris! |
