The coral coast is where loads of the Fijian resorts are located. Internet can be a bit patchy. You could buy a SIM card over in Fiji with data and phone call access to hot spot a laptop or iPad to enter competitions ;)

Our family has been on the day trip to Tivua Island via a beautiful tall ship. Here's a link:

I highly recommend that cruise. It was a highlight for all of us.

We have taken lots of stationary and clothing to a school in Fiji. We have always had to get permission from the village Chief to come in and give these things to the school to distribute.

Hope this helps. There are loads of great tours and things to do in Fiji, All the hotels have a "Rosies" tour desk to book trips from.

Enjoy your time away and making memories with your family :)

If you like a glass of wine in the evening, take a couple of bottles in your suitcase or duty free from Australia as wine's pretty pricey in Fiji.

You will love the Outrigger it is an absolutely splendid family holiday destination! If you meet Simmy one of the waiters he is an absolute gem! He will make sure you and your family are taken care of.

Definitely recommend one or more spa treatments and go for a drink at the bar up the hill where the spa is.

Have a wonderful time!

Good luck

I was at Outrigger 4 weeks ago.

Food same price as in Australia - so don't expect cheap.

You must visit the spa building, even if you don't have a spa - but the spa is absolutely lovely on the top of the mountain.

There are 2-3 great restaurants within walking distance (not overly cheap but lovely food) - go down to the beach and walk right (as you look at the sea). Abut 20m there are 2 outdoor restaurants - The Crab Shack - and an indoor restaurant.

I found the best and cheapest lunches were at the adult pool.

Otherwise I can recommend the coconut vodka with soda and lime - it's worth the money!

Enjoy.
