Macca’s is giving out free ice-cream sundaes until this Sunday 21st July only
McDonald’s is giving customers the chance to walk away with a delicious ice-cream Sundae free of charge, with one simple move.
There’s nothing better than tucking into a fresh ice-cream sundae from Macca’s, topped with that decadent, gooey fudge sauce.
Unless, of course, that sundae is handed to you free of charge.
The fast-food chain is giving away free ice-cream sundaes to select customers across the nation in a week-long offer that has Macca’s fans very
excited.
Customers can nab a free sundae with every purchase of chicken McNuggets until Sunday, July 21.
Simply download the mymacca’s app onto your smartphone, grab yourself a six pack of nuggs, flash your screen voucher and the good people of McDonald’s
will hand over whatever sundae you desire.
The voucher will get you a small sundae, topped with either caramel, strawberry or chocolate fudge sauce.
A McDonald’s spokesman told news.com.au this week’s ice-cream sundae deal was just one of a slew of freebies customers would be eligible for once they
downloaded the mymacca’s app.
“We’ll be serving up a range of unique offers for mymacca’s app customers over the coming weeks,” the spokesman said.
But this sweet, sweet deal is only available until Sunday, July 21.
Despite the chilly weather this week, Aussies are already heading to their nearest Macca’s, hankering for a feast of crispy nuggets and ice cream.
“Macca’s run is needed,” one woman suggested to her friend.
But others weren’t impressed the fast-food chain was forcing them to purchase chicken McNuggets just to get a free sundae, arguing the total cost
would still leave them out of pocket.
“But you gotta buy nuggets! I’d prefer the $1 apple pie,” one person said.
Another added: “It’s a pity the chicken nuggets are revolting, if you have to have them to get the freebie.”
One man even accused McDonald’s of “false advertising”, saying the chain had form for misleading its customers with these smartphone app deals.
“They constantly falsely advertise,” he said.
“The last ‘$1.00 big macs’ had a small limit on them, not well advertised, so people turning up didn’t get what was advertised.
“Maccas advertising is misleading and deceptive.”
