Coffs Harbour weather & attractions
Heading to Coffs Harbour for week of 22nd sept. Would love any locals or frequent visitors advice and ideas on best activities to do. We have 3 kids
ranging from 8 to 14
Also what is the weather like I keep seeing big rains and hail storms wondering if it is quite cool there or will we be able to get into shorts and
shirts at some point (kids swimming ???).
Where we live 21 is still quite cold but have been told its a different temperature
Any tips would be greatly appreciated thanks |

I live near Coffs and looks as if you might have a few days of showers(1-5mm) then clearing to partly cloudy. It's sunny here now and I'm in shorts.
Been a really dry Winter.
Re kids swimming............kids swim at the beach no matter the weather!
Will you have a car?
Suggest Big Banana.......multitude of activities for the kids there.
Dolphin Marine Magic.....think it's changed it's name to http://www.dolphinmarineconservation.com.au/marine-parks
Sealy Lookout.....the Flying Fox Park is there but not sure what age group it caters for.

Lots of beautiful beaches.
Fishing
Walk around Marina & Muttonbird Island...free
Butterfly House......never been there myself
Drives to Urunga (awesome boardwalk, cheap eats at Bowling Club), Sawtell, Belingen, Woolgoolga (Indian temples, cheap pub meals at Seaview Tavern,
beautiful beach (wreck of Buster may still be exposed. Colony of fruit bats near lake), Dorrigo National park....rainforest walks and waterfalls.
If it rains..........Event Cinemas Coffs.
Enjoy! |
