Switzerland advice please

Hi travellers!
I am looking for advice on Switzerland please. We will be in Montreux for 4 nights next September (accommodation booked) and I was wondering what else is a must see in Switzerland. Any ideas greatly appreciated including whether to drive or train it round and other general advice. Thanks in advance!

Definitely train. They know what they're doing when it comes to train travel

Train.
I think it is worth going to geneva to see the beautiful lake, Mont Blanc and the Palais des Nations (headquarters of the United Nations). There are tours of the Palais (UN Geneva) and often there are special exhibitions and the opportunity to buy UN merchandise.

Geneva is a very walkable city and they have an excellent public transport system which is free for visitors (I think because there are many people from other countries and some of those countries are very poor). Even the little yellow ferries that cross the lake in various spots are free.

If you like science, you can also catch the tram to see CERN and learn about the Large Hadron Collider - which is built below three countries! https://home.cern/science/accelerators/large-hadron-collider and the birthplace of the World Wide Web -see Tim Berners Lee's first WWW server (https://home.cern/science/computing/birth-web)

A good medium hotel in Geneve is the Hotel Cornavin (https://fassbindhotels.ch/hotel/cornavin-geneve/). It is in an excellent position right next to the railway station but no noise! Ask for a room with a view. I have stayed there a number of times.

Geneva can be expensive but there are many supermarkets around and it is fun looking at the very expensive supermarket and shops across the lake (especially the beautiful food and chocolate!)

There are lots of tours you can take into the alps and around lake Geneva. I took a foodie tour once which visited a farm and cheese factory on the side of a mountain (including the cows with the giant bells), a chocolate factory (couldn't eat as much as I wanted to try :) ) and a winery and also went on a cog train high up into the mountains to see marmots.

Also Switzerland has a different power plug to everyone else - https://www.electricalsafetyfirst.org.uk/guidance/advice-for...
