There is a note on the site saying to contact them if you want to enter more than once with the same email.

Thanks, I will do that.

That's the way I interpreted it too. When you look at their range online, they have a 'Clearance' section. I'm guessing they mean that those items are not included in the promotion, not items in stores that are on sale.

Purchase any Jockey branded product (excluding clearance) - does this mean product cannot be on sale. I just bought some which were reduced from Big W.

I would say that if it's on sale, that would be okay (say 20% off), just not a clearance line. That's my interpretation of it.

I communicated with one of the Account Managers at Hanes - whom are the parent company to the Brand Jockey

Original email

"....... I’m in the market for some new socks and jocks and wanted to know about purchases excluding clearances in order to enter the $20K comp.

[At the time of email]For example MYER Online has 30% off Jockey Briefs [Bricks and Mortars MYER stores in Brisbane area are currently closed]. Question – if I buy Jockey say London Briefs at 30% off does that disqualify me entering the above competition

I rang the 1800 number at Jockey Customer Service only recently – the rep was a bit unconvincing as to whether it’s a clearance or sale. Further, David Jones has Jockey stock lines – if I get a price match against Myer advertised price eg. Jockey London Briefs $22.95 to $16.06 – does that DQ for the above
promotion.

Could you clarify this for me. Much appreciated...." end email

Hanes Account Managers email response"......The difference between sales stock and clearance is that sale stock is a percentage off for a limited period and clearance is permanently marked down styles.

For example, the Myer sale is a percentage off the RRP so its sale stock. Permanently marked down styles would usually advertise a new RRP as per these styles https://www.jockey.com.au/sale/men/underwear.html

As long as the price match was to sale and not clearance then its fine...." email end

Hope that clarifies sales as opposed to clearance stock

I used the contact section and sent them a request to enter me a second time. Gave all details as per the original entry form. Also requested a confirmation or communication to confirm. Sadly, I have heard nothing. Unsure whether to purchase more and do same, risking the entry going into a big black hole or too hard basket for those at customer service.
Has anyone entered a second time and received any form of confirmation their entry is in the draw?

Same thing for me too Snazzie, I spoke to them and they told me they would send confirmation but I never got anything. :sniffle:

No. I spoke to them. They mentioned it had gone to a lady (can't remember name) in marketing, and that she will send through a confirmation. I explained if I was to submit a third entry, how would they know it was not a repeat of the second? She said to make sure I clearly state that it is my 3rd entry. I am sitting on it a bit longer, hoping i get a confirmation for second entry soon.

All the undies are now marked down as ‘Clearance’ in my local Woolies - as previously discussed these can no longer be used for entry.

I put them through the scanner (not knowing they were on clearance) but the screen didn't say "jockey" it said "o promo" and then I saw the price. Didn't buy them. Lucky I looked!!!

Same at my store. The Bonds are all on "Special", the Jockey are all on "Clearance". Cheeky really. We're still buying their products.

Can't find any Jockey brand anything anywhere, the only stock I saw last month was on a little stand advertising the promotion at my local Woollies, asked the fellow I always speak to and he checked on the computer, they are supposed to be a regularly stocked item and even showed some in stock but no one could find them. Nothing at Target either.

Not venturing out of my local area just yet.

Hi Gypsy,

I could not find Jockey in my local regional city so I joined as a Jockey member online. I needed a new dressing gown and they had men's dressing gowns with a hood for warmth on sale from $89.95 marked down to $40. Being a Jockey member online I received 10% member discount so the dressing gown reduced an extra 10% on top of the sale price down to $36. Plus being a member gives you free postage. $36 for a hoodie dressing gown is a better price than what I could find on sale locally and got me the vital entry into the comp. I usually avoid online shopping to support local business but it was not an option for this comp. Good luck ;)
