Facebook comp - JB Hi Fi
I entered a competition on facebook from JB HI FI Australia. There were 3 prizes of a switch. I have received the following message and was
wondering if it is a scam. Any advice woud be appreciated. I am not game to click on the link. Thanks.

There is a ridiculous amount of scams like this around at the moment but if it were me I would go to their official facebook page and send them a
message directly and ask first before I click on any links you recieve. I got one from Mocka that looked really legit and that is what I did only to
find out it was a scam so I am so pleased I followed up before clicking on links. Prizes are so scarce at the moment that any glimmer of hope is hard
to pass by. But take my advice and check first |

Did you enter this competition for a switch? https://www.facebook.com/104130681406554/photos/a.1041778680...
This is a fake JB-Hifi page. There's so many scams on FB lately. I don't know how these fake pages manage to stay up for so long. Be careful of
clicking on any links. |

I reported this one to fb and made a comment on their page. They promptly blocked me from commenting.
It’s hard to tell sometimes which comps are scams, especially when they come up as sponsored posts on fb.
I encourage everyone to report them to fb and let the original page know they are being defrauded.

A good way to check is to go to the address page at the top of the browser and see what the address is. When you click on Facebook.com you will then
see https://www.facebook.com/JBHiFi/
The dodgy page will have something a lot different. |
