Are cinemas open in some parts of Australia?
As a Melbournian, we're still in lockdown with a curfew still in place and no cinemas open. I've noticed a few comps for passes to movies, which I
just click the red cross and move on. Then today I thought, hang on, where are cinemas open for these tickets to even be offered? |

Good question! As a Melbournian I have also been red tagging them, but if they can be used somewhere, perhaps I should enter?...or will they just edit
our Vic entries because they know they would likely go to waste? |

With postage being so slow these days, I'm going to leave these comps to those whose cinemas are open.
This is one thing I'm really looking forward to. I can't wait for cinemas and theatre to open.
Actually, it's the 2nd thing I'm looking forward to. The first is our 5km limit of travel. I couldn't even get to a cinema unless they drop the 5km
limit.

You have to book online. I have been twice and both times there have been only 2 others in the cinema. |

I have a picture of hubby and myself at the cinema this time last year and we were the only 2 in the cinema! And it was a prize win so we didn't even
pay for the tickets! Some cinemas didn't need to close, as not many people go these days.

Yes, there is social distancing in place at the cinema I have been to, when booking tix, they have automatically blocked out seats around ones I have
booked...the preview screening I won tix to last week, advised social distancing..on entering they asked to leave a seat between groups etc. |

I work at a cinema in Melbourne. The cinema I work at has been closed since mid March and from the regular updates I receive we definitely won't be
opening before mid November. 2020 has really been a tough year for everyone working in the entertainment industry |
