So Wenwin, can't help you. No luck for me in this one, been having a single entry most weeks.
Its like the prizes are getting shared around the same people each week. Either they drink a lot of Jameson, or they are workers/ relatives of workers
keeping receipts again. |

I'm pretty sure I was the week 6 winner, so we should be in week 7 this week. |

Nothing in T&C's to say 1 win per person or household, but this seems odd, considering your multiple entries. Does not make you want to keep
purchasing or trying, seeing the same names repeated.
Maybe entries are rolling over, as some have won both major and minor prizes in different weeks?
Are they scruitinising receipts, checking the last 4 digits of cards used for purchase? If they are all the same, fair enough, but if all different,
and can't be verified - there is a receipt sharing or stealing problem that needs further investigation.
Hope to see your name on the winners list (if they ever update it) soon. Good luck! |

I actually find the suggestions quite offensive that because the same names keep appearing they must be cheating?
Early on people were not sure as to where purchases could be made so those who entered had a better chance of winning as less entries.
I know we have entered most weeks (once we knew where to purchase), up to three times per week usually--and have won--and I know they are checking
receipts.
I know people do cheat (or try to)--and believe it or not many of the people who do it are 'compers'--but to tar multiple winners as cheats without
proof smacks of sour grapes and pettiness.

Petty indeed. No sour grapes here.
Congratulations on your win. Thanks for confirming that your receipt was verified. Question answered.
Receipt verification is not an uncommon concern that raises questions or thoughts on Lottos.
Point made here is that if someone makes 2 purchases with 2 different cards. Enters both receipts and wins twice, do they scrutinise the receipt to
ensure it is the same person who purchased before entering? Otherwise HOW does promoter know that receipt has not been shared, kept by staff or even
found on the ground? Until someone here experiences this extra vetting, and shares it, this concern remains UNproven - therefore is a valid concern.
Raising this does not tar everyone with same brush as a cheat.
My comments/thoughts/suggestions were in support of a fellow Lottos member. I had not entered my receipt yet, but have now decided not to. This will
leave 1 less entry for original member who commented to compete with, and hopefully get a win. Also 1 less entry for yourself to compete with and
perhaps get your name on the winners list a second time. You won't see my name on there. Good luck! |

Going on that theory of card numbers what about when I make 2 separate purchases using the same card and I enter once and my husband uses the other
one? And then he makes two purchases and we repeat the procedure. That gives us both 2 entries on 2 different card numbers but both entries absolutely
valid.

Correct. You know this, but the promoter/person checking receipts doesn't, hence the need (rightly) for thorough cross checking, of both receipt and
card to verify in such cases. Eliminates any concerns. Easy to scan your card with just name and last 4 digits showing for verification purposes if
the different numbers are picked up. No more questions needed if card name and entry name match up, or (in highly unlikely event taken further) a
joint account statement proves it.
Technically, your husband should be purchasing with his own card and entering. The T&C's (like 99% of them) do say the Promoter reserves the
right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants. It is a risk, because you could end up forfeiting both your entry and your
husbands.
Good luck. |
