Hamilton Island advice

Has anyone been to Hamilton Island I'm thinking about taking my husband for his 60th birthday in June he loves swimming snorkeling but not keen on going if we can't swim we are from melbourne and realize it will be warmer than here but will it be warm enough to swim would love to hear your thoughts.

I was all set to have a trip there in March but cancelled. I don't want to risk being stuck there, or having to quarantine to get back into VIC. I know June is a while away but it just feels so uncertain still.

Apart from that, I did a fair bit of research and i think it would be a lovely holiday! I think June is probably low 20's.

Hamilton Island is nice at any time of the year. Yes you can swim in June - the Whitsundays has swimming weather all year round.

I would recommend a day to White Haven Beach - it is amazing.

Because you are from down south you will think it’s warm us NQ people think it’s cold, but I have had my grandchildren swim in my unheated backyard pool in June and July , the one from the GC liKes It more than the local grandies. We can get some quite cold days but by ten your jumpers off and your in short sleeves we get maybe four days between April and September where it can be cold all day, but rare. I love Hamilton Island and there is some good specials going so I say go for it, there is some good walks so weather will be better for them too not too hot, and NO cyclones!!!! enjoy

When the world says give up

HOPE WHISPERS

try it one more time.......

Must be a 60th thing.
I'm going in March with 8 girls! We are all the same age having gone to school together.
Friends for 50 + years!
