Refunded my purchase (unrequired xmas gift) - Autobarn store only gave only a debit receipt - looked up to ask for original receipt be voided/refund on docket - male staff member promptly vanished! with receipt - I asked another for my receipt, they looked on desk and in bin (no where to be found) then informs me man who served me went out into carpark. Upon his return I asked he void my original receipt (explaining its standard practice everywhere) and that I dont want 'my' purchase being enter into car comp by deceiption (comp heavily advertised in store). He says, as I dont have that product anymore, receipt now belongs to the store for filing, walks away and ignores me (pretending to be busy in background), eventually looks up, sees I'm patiently waiting then rudely yells at me 'I must leave the store now!' (I was shocked!) - I repeatedly asked he show me my receipt (as no one could find it if its kept for store files) the store can keep it after its voided (as should have been done) - he kept yelling over me to leave the store now! (staff were all silent) - I asked his name, exchanged a few words back and left (heart racing, broke down in tears in the car) - his bullying was unnecessary and extremely rude!
Wrote head office a detailed email of my horrid experience! - customer care email replys informing me they contacted store store and informed receipt was binned & bins have since been emptied. My email reply questions 'why was it binned when I was told its kept for store files?!' (& I noticed no apology from Autobarn nor stores owner for their digusting behaviour!) ... 'crickets'.... 'nada' ... 'nothing more' ... again ignored by Autobarn (now lost me, my family & friends from this franchise) as theres plenty of competititon out there grateful for our cash.
Anyhow - luckily I do have a scanned copy of that receipt (as I anticipated my daughter would keep her xmas gift, so she could enter the car comp). Dear Lottoers - Who should I notify? - the promoter or the company? (or both?) informing them what has occured along with scanned copy of my receipt - (as Ive never experienced such behaviour ever!) and I understandingly, I want to ensure 'my refund receipt' for is not used for his own gains - as its deceiption of entry on his behalf.

A shocking story Calliope, I'm very sorry you had that experience.

My view is you should contact both the promoter and the company (Blackvue).

The promoter needs to know to ensure the prize is awarded to a legitimate purchase/person.
The company needs to know as that employee is a terrible representative for the product....and to not even receive an apology is appaling. They may wish to review their agreement with Autobarn.
If no-one says anything they will not know.

What a horrible experience for you Calliope! I would definitely be informing the promoters and Black Vue themselves to ensure this man doesn’t win with an invalid receipt.
Furthermore... I bought a $550 Black Vue a year ago and had it installed by autobarn. It has fallen off my windscreen 5 times and drained my car battery 2 times. It’s now off for good.
