What do you all do with receipts these day?
Now that most comps require an uploaded legible copy of a receipt to enter, I wonder if I need to keep my receipts once a comp is closed. I used to
keep them for 12 months. I doubt I'd even need them now for a second chance draw. I have won prizes in a few of those and never been asked for a
receipt. What do you all do? I am looking to declutter. Thanks

I have one envelope for each month of the year. I seal it at end of month and file it |

Most product comps still ask you to keep your receipt, although these days most allow it to be a copy of the receipt. I assume for most comps, it
would be ok to just keep a digital copy on your phone or computer.
I keep everything in one folder for 12 months and clean up month by month (so at the beginning of this month, I threw out all the receipts etc for
November 2020).
Having said that, I cannot remember the last time I've been asked to produce a receipt for a prize. |

I take a photo before I throw out. Receipts fade over time, specially Bottlemart ones so they aren’t really worth keeping anyway. Like Smiley said,
it’s been a long time I’ve had to dig up an old receipt. |

I keep them for a year. Bundled monthly. In hope... that one day, 2nd chance draw!!! |

I store them away in a box just in case I have to produce them again. I won a major competition last year where you had to upload a photo of the
receipt at entry time. The promoter asked me to take another photo of the original receipt in a different environment and it would have been stamped
with the current date, to prove that I still had access to it.
So I wouldn't be throwing any out even if you have a photo of it.
