Another Christmas comp 
Spend in Glen is a chamber run initiative to encourage the Glen Innes community to shop locally in the lead up to Christmas. This also provides
incentive for local businesses to put their festive foot forward and showcase their products and services to the local community. This initiative has
been running for over a decade and has become bigger and better with more prizes and local businesses joining in the fun.
The program which runs from late November right up until the Friday before Christmas encourages locals to spend at participating businesses, and in
return receive an entry into the draw to win a part of the $10,000.00 prize pool! T&C’s Apply.
To enter, shoppers must spend a minimum $20 in one transaction at one of the participating stores and register your details online, it’s that easy!
This year there will be 3 winners drawn at 10am on Saturday 21st of December, in the Town Square. 1st Prize $5000, 2nd Prize $3000, and 3rd Prize
$2000 in local gift vouchers.
GIBC will provide gift vouchers from the participating businesses as elected by the winners. Businesses can register for the 2024 Spend In Glen season
here. Registration is FREE for all businesses and promotional material will be provided.

businesses during the holiday season.
From Tuesday, 4 November to Thursday, 12 December 2024, shop at participating Star Businesses and spend $15 or more to enter the prize draw. You could
win a $500 first prize or five $100 vouchers at the businesses you supported
To enter the competition, visit any business displaying the Star Business sticker or poster. For each purchase of $15 or more, you’ll receive an entry
form—one entry per spend. The lucky winners will be drawn on Friday, 13 December 2024, just in time for Christmas.

Alpine Shire Christmas promotion
FROM Wednesday, November 27 to Wednesday December 18, locals and visitors to the Alpine Shire will be encouraged to shop locally in preparation for
the holiday season and go in the draw to win one of three major prize packs for participating businesses, thanks to the annual ‘Buy Local and Win’
promotion brought to you by the Alpine Observer and Myrtleford Times.
A list of all participating businesses will be published each week in the Myrtleford Times and Alpine Observer during the promotion, plus the Facebook
page will also encourage readers to shop at local stores.
The whole promotion is about encouraging people to support local business over the holiday season.
Customers are rewarded for shopping locally and they have a chance to win a share of some major prizes, namely:
• 1st prize: a $2000 voucher to spend at FoodWorks in Myrtleford, Mount Beauty or Yackandandah;
• 2nd prize: an $800 Voucher to spend at Catani Clothing and Strides in Bright; and
• 3rd prize: a Billy Button Wines Prize pack valued at over $500.
There are also loads of $100 vouchers from the participating businesses, simply by shopping at nearby businesses and supporting local this festive
season.
Foodworks Myrtleford manager Andrew Reid said the company was happy to be part of the promotion.
“We feel like it’s a nice local incentive and we appreciate the locals that support us and continue to do so by supporting local,” he said.
To sign your business up to be included in the promotion, the cut-off time to register has been changed to Thursday, November 21 at 2pm.
