Shore excursions Port Lincoln, Adelaide & Kangaroo Island

Any advice on shore excursions for Port Lincoln, Adelaide and Kangaroo Island.

My two teenagers and I are booked on a cruise in January.

I am looking at the shore excursions and not really sure what to pick.

Not interested in wineries.

Happy to look at history, animals (seals, dolphins etc), local food etc.

Do you have a link to the shore excursions offered?

I've been to Adelaide and Kangaroo Island and I can have a look

Hi daisymay,

As a local, there are so many great things to do in SA.

I think a tour of KI would be a great day trip, taking in Seal Bay and Remarkable Rocks if you can. Also seeing he devastation of the bushfires and the re-building/regrowth would be really interesting.

Then I would suggest maybe a tour up to Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills. Itís a small German tourist town, famous for its German food, shops and quirkiness.

Iíve only been to Pt Lincoln once so Iím not the best person to recommend anything over that neck of the woods.

Just be wary that it will most likely be stinking hot in January so somewhere near water might be a good choice too.
Happy Choosing/Cruising!!

Good choices Katley. I'm from Adelaide too and I went on a tour of the Adelaide Oval (although I've lived here for over 40 years I had never been there before). It was well worth it if that sort of thing interests you. Hahndorf is certainly worth a visit ... and Kangaroo Island ... definitely!

I used to live in Port Lincoln and it's literally one of my favourite places on earth.

There's some animal tours:

Here's a list of all tours in PL:

If you're hiring a car (4wd required) or have access to one I cannot recommend Memory Cove enough. Quite literally heaven on earth!!!
