Anyone been to Vietnam
Hubby and myself thinking of going to Vietnam next year was thinking of 2 nights HCMC 3 nights Da Aṉangu 7 nights Hoi An
Never been before |

We enjoyed Vietnam also, stayed in Hanoi, the french quarter and old city were great, also did a boat trip to Ha Long Bay, which was stunning. We
took the train to Sapa to the villages in the mountains.... Great trip, the food was amazing too! |

I've been twice. My first trip was in 2000 when they had just opened to westerners. I did a stint of teaching the Senior High School in HCMC. I
suggest to all my friends that they go.

Hanoi, Ha Long Bay and the Sapa Valley were our highlights too!
And Hoi An is beautiful  |

I went on a tour but before the tour I booked a CAT BA ISLAND – HALONG BAY – LAN HA BAY – CAT BA NATIONAL PARK (3 Days 2 Nights on UniCharm Cruise).
There were very few tourist boats here and more local activity. My tour did actually go for an overnight trip on Ha Long bay but I much preferred the
other area.

I’ve been twice.
First was a Lottos prize in 2012. Week in Hanoi including City Tour (day) , market shopping & cooking school (day) , Thang Long Water Puppet
Theatre, 2 day cruise on Halong Bay…. small boat about 14 people. Then we added another 5 days and headed up to Sapa by overnight train. Loved Sapa.
Highlight…traditional ethnic tribes, Bac Hai Market etc. Sapa is more commercial these days.
Second trip in October 2017. 16 days including 4 days in Cambodia.
*HCMC…Saigon City Tour, Cu Chi Tunnels, day trip Ben Tre (Mekong).. cruise, coconut workshop, brick factory, sanpan cruise.
*Hoi An..walking tour through old city and markets.
*Hoi An Eco Day Tour…fantastic fun. Traditional Farm life experiences including veggie planting, watering, riding water buffalo, fishing, throwing
cast nets, paddling in bamboo basket boats (hilarious), origami using reeds, cruise. Think it was called Jack Trans Eco Tour. Highly recommend
*Hanoi again. 2 day Halong Bay Cruise again Pelican Cruises…. much larger boat approx 50
people.
Loved both trips! Still have the itinerary from the second trip. |

Vietnam is fantastic. More than two days in Ho chi min , 3 minimum. Hoi an, Danang , salam Hanoi, the Victoria resorts are fantastic. And still cheap. |

Halong bay can be done in one , or two with one night. Sapa is lovely, go on the overnight Victoria train, and stay at Victoria sapa |
