Brisbane must-see's & recommendations?

Heading to Brisbane for a week in August, and looking for suggestions of must-see's or other recommendations.

We are heading to the Ekka, and over to Moreton Island for a day tour, also a Whale Watching trip.

Are there any other suggestions of things we should not miss out on?

Or perhaps the things to avoid?

Mostly sticking to the CBD area and using ferry travel, or walking around.

We're doing a fancy tea at The Matriarch in Newstead, and also high tea at Customs House by the river. Any other food/dining suggestions?

Thanks 🙂

Howard Smith Wharves is popular for drinks and dining.... has lovely views of the river and the Storey Bridge.... there's many restaurants in the precinct. We enjoyed going to Stanley Restaurant.

Boat rides are nice on the River..... City Cats, River to Bay, YOT Club, there's actually heaps of them.

Thank you, sometimes having too many choices makes it so hard.

I think we might even have a few grazing dining experiences & spread our meal sitting across a few locations each time.

We were just in Brisbane and went to Eat Street Markets. They were amazing. Look it up online - well worth a visit!

Yes, would recommend this. Easy to get to by ferry.

Thanks for the suggestions 😀

We've got museums on the list, but hadn't decided on any exhibitions. I'll check out the dinosaurs one

Thanks for the Eat Street Markets recommendation 😋
