What's with all the "1 in 100 wins" competitions
I am seeing more and more of these and almost all want a phone number.
Does that mean that for every 100 entries, one winner is guaranteed?
Or is it another "winning moment"? |

I agree - I made a comment on that on another post recently. I'm not even bothering - they sound like a total waste of time. FB is being overrun
with this type of comp though at the moment. |

Im not a fan of them but I wonder if promoters are turning to this type of marketing due to the number of scammers and impersonators on social media
comps? Maybe they see these comps as a way of avoiding the scammers but still able to promote their brand and products. Either way, I dont actually
know of anyone winning one of these comps |

I don't mind the '1 in 100 wins' competitions because 1 in 100 actually wins.
They are different to 'winning moment' comps, where someone can only win if they enter at that exact moment. |

That's disturbing but corruption seems everywhere these days I still.hold out hope that there is genuine n good things too. |

I tend to avoid them, as I was unsure if they are legit or not. Easy to say 1 in 100 wins when we have no way of checking easily.
I’m also sceptical of the sponsored pop up style comps on Facebook. Some appear to be legit, if I go to their page and can see the comp on there too,
I will enter. But when I can’t I wonder if it is a scam.
