I thought there were lots of purchase comps already, although they are mostly junk/treat foods like:
ice-cream (Coles & Woolworths each have their own comp), soft drink, bubly, lollies, biscuits
But there's also cereal, dips and Campos coffee (although it's not instant).
The lack of back to school comps surprises me too.
The biggest surprise was the huge number of alcohol comps! |

The Uncle Toby snack products that usually have a proper prize of some kind
Bega snacks usually do, now it design your own 'lunch bag' and pay for postage after buying two pricey products (could it be more tacky)
Breads like The One/Wonder
Cadbury Easter at Coles has usually started by now
Up&Go as well
Most of the Woolies ones are 'scan to enter' to basically zero chance
And Oreos is another
The Sickers/Mars bars ones at Woolies (Hunger Fails was one in the past, there have been a few similar but I don't recall the names off the top of my
head)
Boss coffee
Extra chewing gum (cash for your coffee or something)
Eclipse Mints used to run a LOT of comps, some you had to buy from servos, others from Woolies) |

That really surprises me too. Afterall, it's only 6mths away!
Maybe they'll start later, giving us less time to plan. Better update my passport just in case.

Reckon there's a gazillion big comps already locked & loaded & they'll start to appear soon after Australia Day & when everybody's back at
work & kids are back at school in all States & Territories. (Western NSW the last area to go back, way later - Term 1 doesn't start until 6th
Feb).
Winners lists, prize fulfillment & timely contact of winners by promoters also MIA lately during holidays, here's to a great February! |
