Ok. I just had a phone call. Lady said she isn't ignoring me.
She explained it was a worldwide comp (unbeknowns to us and T and C I think. She has emailed Head Office in the UK.
I think she's mixed up. But at least I got a phone call. I might look at it again later. I have her number now haha! |

OMG! I received a phone call from them. They said "we are emailing our UK office as this was a world-wide competition (which it was not). So they have
no idea what they are talking about. They said they weren't ignoring me but just hadn't heard back yet.
I am going to ring them after Easter and let them know, now that I have their phone number. I am making it my mission to find out who if anyone won
the competition. I guarantee one thing. It will NOT be me! I care not.

Kimmy you are amazing! I'm wondering if each Country had it's "own" T&C's, implying it was for their country, but all the entries went into the
same draw? I wouldn't have entered if it was open worldwide either - tend to get on too many international mailing lists and I don't like my personal
info being sent overseas into computer storage, which might lack security.
Anyway, we might hear who won this prize, before the event is over! lol |

Hello Regent, this is a repeated request. Sorry to bother you but I am still awaiting winner announcement for your competition that closed on 2 March.
Competition was to win Formula One Experience plus Venice to Athens Cruise. This competition was open to Australian residents only, not worldwide as
previously advised by one of your team members.
It is an ACCC requirement that you publicise the name of the winner to ensure that this was a legit competition. I have many friends that entered, all
of whom are still waiting to hear who won. Please, can someone tell me where to find the winner announcement? Thank you kindly. We look forward to
hearing from you. I am sure this was a legitimate competition and I am sure you will publicise the winner soon for everyone to see. 🙂
I am thinking that I will post same message maybe twice per week until someone responds to me. otherwise I will go to the ACCC. Let's find out who

Looks like I have been deleted. This time, i write comment, screen shot it and have evidence to take it to the ACCC, they want to know you have tried
to resolve the issue before bothering them. Let me try again . . .
I put it on the camel post from 3 days ago (second attempt). Taken screen shots. If they delete it again, I can send them another message adding
"would you be kind enough to message me when you delete this post so we can resolve this issue?"

Just found your post on their Facebook page and liked it. They haven't deleted the one from 22 hours ago.
Hopefully they won't ignore you this time.

I have just called the phone number of the lady I spoke to a couple of weeks back. She was the one who said she was told it was a worldwide
competition. She tried to be helpful while on the phone, but said she was emailing the UK office, I believe.
Her name is Jackie Burn. Phone 02 9224 6028.
I left a message on her phone and I am certain she will get back to me.
But you can feel free to call her also. I am sure if enough people ask someone will eventually have to say something.
When she does call me back I shall let her know that because I have done everything possible to find out who won, it is now time to escalate to the
ACCC and I will start the process. Sad that it has to come to that. |

I had a response from Jackie Burn today. The issue is, she's a nice sales rep who knew nothing about the comp. She just believes what the superiors
tell her to believe. She assured me "they told me that if you had won, you would have been notified".
I explained that my friends and I all are keen to know the name of the winner as it is law to have it publicised. she said "maybe it's a privacy
thing?"
I replied that the company asked me to sign up and accept their marketing and I did the right thing. Now I expect them to do the right thing and prove
there was a legit winner.
She asked me to send her copy of the T and C stating that it was an Australian competition and not worldwide.
If this was a worldwide competition (and I am suspecting it was and the T and C were just incorrect), then we have no hope of the ACCC getting
involved.
I shall send her the T and C but it really sounds like this is a wild goose chase.
Nobody seems to know what is going on. I actually reckon they didn't pick a winner at all. Might be wrong.
It's all bit sad. It if was indeed legit, surely, someone would be able to let me know who the lucky winner was?

Thank you for taking the time to contact me yesterday.
Here are the details regarding the terms and conditions that stated it is open to Australians only. I highlighted it in red. SEE BELOW THIS EMAIL. As
this was publicised, I expect the company to abide by their own terms and conditions. Therefore, someone in Australia should know who won.
I REALLY appreciate you taking the time to correspond with me about this and understand that it might put you in an awkward situation if you had no
knowledge of this competition.
Can you provide a name, email and phone number of some superior who might be in marketing or a manager? Or the CEO if need be. Someone has to know
the answer.
I know I did not win the competition and that is OK by me. BUT I have a right to know (along with my friends) that it was a legit competition. I am
beginning to suspect that it was not and that is my issue. If it was legit, WHY hasn’t the winner’s name been published for all to see and
congratulate?
The company that you represent must abide by the laws. It is actually illegal to run a competition and not release the winner’s name.
If I cannot get an answer from the company, I will be taking this further and that is something I am not wanting to do.
As a long term comper, I have found countless companies tricking the public and I have decided to get to the bottom of this one for my own peace of
mind.
Thank you kindly. Any phone numbers (whether international or otherwise) would be greatly appreciated.

suggestions. If she gets back to me with a name or phone number, I will keep corresponding. If not, I guess I failed in my mission. I really do hope
they awarded this lovely prize to a real person. And I guess I should know better than to believe the T and C

Wow! This has put me off this company. They are obviously already using our details for their advertising, as I received a brochure of theirs in the
mail yesterday.
Doesn't sound right at all. The Sales Manager didn't respond to me either.
When I get a minute, I will try again.
I know I didn't win, but I spent a lot of time on my answer and they have my details to use for their database .... for that I believe we deserve to
know that a legitimate winner was chosen.

did you show them this part of their T&C's
PERMISSION TO PUBLISH; PUBLICITY; LICENSE. Except where prohibited, entrants grant Sponsor and any promotion partners permission to publish his/her
name and place of residence on their websites or promotional materials in the event of winning. Entrants also grant
permission to release full names on a Winner’s list to individuals requesting a copy. |

KimmyWimmy, thanks for being our warrior on this one, it's very much appreciated.
When I got their brochure in the mail yesterday I had a moment of: 'well that's not OK - they're using our details that were provided in good faith,
but they aren't acting in good faith in return'. Funny how these things can really affect your perception of a brand/company.

I have unsubscribed from their emails. We will never book with them regardless of what they have on offer - simply can't support their level of
contempt for their customers....and the law. |
