Home Address
Hello, I have just re-joined after a long break. I used to have a PO box, but no longer have this as I now use a Parcel Locker. Do you think it
would be valid to list your parcel locker as your address or would that make your entry invalid. What are people's thoughts about entering their home
address in competitions - do you think this is safe? Thanks |

I have always used my home address for competitions, a lot of comps say no PO boxes, I haven't read no parcel lockers,
never had a problem with someone stealing parcels are anything from my place - at least not that I am aware of |

Same here, I only use my real address.
If you want to use a PO box or parcel locker, you'll just have to read T&C carefully for every comp that has a physical prize.

I am homeless so it is impossible to use a home address. I get really angry
with the promoters sitting in their CBD ivory towers assuming only people with homes enter competitions. As a person who has had to legally take on a
new identity to protect myself from Domestic and Family violence/stalking I also get irate that promoters demand a residential address exposing victims to potentially life threatening danger. I have gone to huge lengths and
expense to make myself less vulnerable so the perpetrators can't find me with a silent driver licence address/silent electoral role listing etc but
promoters demand I give them a residential address???????
I have a Post Office Box but if forced to use a residential address to enter a comp I have organised one of my former housesit owners to receive any
comp wins at their residential address. Ironically they live up a mountain on a steep and winding track so their letterbox is on the highway roadside
several hundred metres down the mountain from their house so no parcels are ever delivered to their house. They always receive a parcel collect card
in their letterbox for ALL their parcels (and my prizes) which end up at the local village Post Office a few kilometres down the mountain.......so I
am not allowed to put my PO Box so end up driving to another Post Office to collect my prizes.....how absolutely crazy is that??? |
