Winning Moment
During the Promotion Period, winners are determined based on their time of entry during a predetermined 1-second winning moment
("Winning Moment"). Winning Moments are predetermined for each day of the Promotion Period. The first valid entry received during a Winning Moment
will win a Prize (being 1 x Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard).
Comp runs for 69 days.
69 X 24 hours = 1656 hours
1656 X 60 minutes = 99,360 minutes
99,360 x 60 seconds = 5,961,600
Therefore your chances of winning are 50,000 in 5,961,600 or 0.83%
...or daily...50,000 winning moments over 69 days...roughly 724 winning 1 second moments per day and each day has 86,400 seconds.
...or hourly...roughly 30 winning moments per hour and each hour has 3,600 seconds.
Total Number of Prizes: up to 50,000.
Total Prize Pool: up to $500,000.
Any unwon Prizes during the Promotion Period will not be awarded in the Unclaimed Prize Allocation draw and are null and void.
I'm sure they will have a big fanfare as to "PRIZE POOL UP TO $500,000", but in reality, based on past results of 1 second winning moments comps, very
few prizes will actually be won.
Good luck to any entrants for this comp.
PS. Their previous Game of Life competition which was also a winning moment had 712 instant winners published which is 1.4% of the prize pool of
50,610 prizes. At least with this one they did have a major car prize.
The promotion they ran late last year to "Win $250 instantly up for grabs every hour" had 25 instant winners out of a possible 1,312.
Again it demonstrated a very low 1.9% wins of the possible wins.

Entrants must, during the Promotion Period, complete the following steps:
Purchase any Participating Product (defined below) from any retailer in Australia (“Qualifying Transaction”) and obtain their purchase receipt. If a
receipt is not handed to the individual, it is their responsibility to request one from a member of staff;
Download the Snackback app (“the App”) if they have not done so already. The App is available to download for free from the App Store or Google Play;
Register for the Snackback account on the App if not done so already by following the prompts and inputting the requested details (including but not
limited to full name, a valid email address and mobile number);
Set a password and agree to the terms of use and privacy policy as indicated;
Once registered and logged in, they must then click on the Lucky Chip Dip tab within the App, input the purchase details including where they made
their Qualifying Transaction and the Best Before Date on the Participating Product. For clarity, entrants will be able to go straight to the Lucky
Chip Dip tab within the App once registered.
As part of the Lucky Chip Dip, individuals must submit a completed entry to see if they are a provisional instant winner of a Prize.

Thanks. Will not be purchasing to enter this one. I can’t support their winning moment scam. If they had a second chance draw for unwon instant wins I
would reconsider.
The app hates me anyway! Good luck to those who tred where I won’t dare!

I know Im going to sound like a 'Karen' but I just submitted this via their Contact Us page. I know it will make zero difference, but I feel better
"Feedback really on your Lucky Chip Dip promotion. Just reading through your terms and conditions and while I applaud your transparency with the
'winning moments' odds - this is such a ridiculous marketing ploy to get those who genuinely will never read these T&Cs to buy your product based
on hoping to win a prize. Ridiculous winning moment odds plus not awarding prizes that do not 'go off'. To be honest, the industry should be ashamed
at this new practice and how it takes advantage of your average shoppers lack of knowledge in how these promotions actually work. I've no doubt that
if I tried to spread the word on your socials, I'd be quickly removed. I know it will make no difference to you or your marketing teams, but this
makes me absolutely think negatively about the Smiths brand. I'd encourage you to have a look at how your competitors are running promotions at the
moment. I'll not be purchasing and encouraging everyone I know to skip Smiths and enjoy taking a punt (and eating) Red Rock, Pringles or Kettle chips.
What we think about and THANK about is what we bring about

Apologies bonnechance....I should have called it out....I calculated the odds...that was not done by the promoter.
No promoter will ever call out how small these odds are.
Good work on sending them feedback...the more people that do it the better.

its great you calculated the odds and at least they are
being clear about a 1 second winning moment.
I would love to see how many winners there actually are at the end of a promotion like this. Love your work Happy_Jack in making even clearer for us.
