How to navigate Instagram rules
Seeking help with managing my Instagram account. I have never really understood how Instagram works but changed to it when most comps gravitated from
Facebook to Instagram. (I am a senior if that helps understanding)
I had never deleted follows since opening the account, didnt realise the signifance. I got to the limit and was banned for weeks. After googling I
was deleting a few follows a day and only tagging a few in comps I was really interested in. Even these cautious moves have seen me banned twice in
quick succession. I am wondering if it is because I have a small group that I tag. They keep saying they are keeping the community safe by not
allowing spam. I get constant messages telling me I have won a comp before it is even closed and they dont seem able to stop those.
Is there any point in trying to create another account - might have to get a kid to help me!

Once your account gets flagged (for one of numerous undisclosed reasons) you need to be very careful after that because you have their attention and
they're very quick to ban you again. It seems to be the number of actions that is problematic, regardless of what those are, once you've been flagged.
If you do create another account -as many of us have had to - you need to take care again how many actions you do, otherwise the same thing will
happen again. However, it does seem quite chaotic, as it doesn't happen to everyone. Go figure... |

I am so so so frustrated with social media comping at the moment. There seems to be no rhyme or reason that they flag your account. I don't enter a
lot and am really careful with my tags and I still get banned for a time lately. What also frustrates me is I have reported a few of the scam posts on
facebook. Everyone knows the ones they start that you have won and you have to click on a link and then come back yada yada and the username is often
something like a symbol I don't even have on my keyboard. Each and everyone I get a message back from facebook that they didn't find any problems when
even blind freddy can see this is a scammer and yet you get banned for tagging a comp that has asked for tags and tagging a fellow comper that you
know quite likes the tags. It is just plain crazy and doing my head in. |

One of the messages I got sounded as though I had lost my account but I got it back after about a week- 2 weeks if I remember correctly. So
frustrating. I am currently told banned until 13 July but I think that will be 13th in USA because once before they said a date and it didnt come
back until a day or so after that.
I am sure I seem to be black listed as I now only ever do a handful of actions on Insta in any one day as I am so cautious and still i get banned. |

Mine account has been disabled. Just a nuisance really. For one tag with two names in it. For me there is no access to ask for a review.

I entered a few comps and got banned, freaked out, then saw something that you can ask for it to be reviewed
About 2 hours later I was back on and they apologised! |

Been there and done that only to be banned again the next day with no option after two tags.

Red wombat I have seen that and asked for review but you cant add anything and it has never come to anything for me. I finally have my page back but
very hesitant to do any tagging or unfollowing as any moves seem to get me banned again

Anyone else scared to use insta now. Whenever I get my account back I click on the tag button and hold my breath in anticipation of that dreaded
screen which inevitably appears after a tag or two |

each time I click 'follow' on a page it just stays blue, hasn't changed to 'following' for a few days.
Yet the scammers seem to have free range--hard to understand how these platforms operate!

I cannot make rhyme or reason as to what algorithm meta uses to determine tagging etc. I hold my breath everytime I hit the submit button. Seem to
let sex scammers on there are plenty. Don't understand why you are stopped from using insta when do aren't scamming. |

Neverending dramas with instagram. I created a new account as I kept getting banned on my old one. But, on this one when I tag people they rarely get
notifiied. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue? |

I tagged 3 x people for a comp this morning - it specified 3 x people had to be tagged in the one comment.
Then comment got removed as it said I was spamming and trying to get likes?
Now I'm banned......again. This is soooo annoying. |

I was banned today but no reason given and no codes sent for me to get it back. Doesn't say for what or for how long. Just so annoying as I use it
quite conservatively and not that often. So annoying. Can we just have the good old days. Never won an Insta comp anyway. |

Banned today too 
I still can’t get my head around the fact I enter sporadically and cop a ban yet I see the same names basically spam every comp with multiple tags and
they go on their merry way to the next comp! |

I have made 2 Instagram accounts, one in my name and one in hubby's. I enter approx 3 comps a week, and tag the same 2 people. Both accounts are
banned for spamming. The first time, i did the appeal thing, but kept getting banned and re-appealing until I gave up. Not bothering with it again. |

I dare to say this but I've yet to have a ban, however I do get a warning when I try to tag 1 particular fellow comper. I do not tag them for a few
weeks , tag a couple of others then try again with the warning right away.
Only enter for really decent prizes & tag 3 people at most. I constantly see the same people being ban or their account closed, it does seem as if
they target certain people but then I see them posting another win.
Many now have several accounts because of it, I have only 1, same 1 I've always used.

The other frustrating thing other than not knowing why I'm banned is that I'm supposed to verify my phone number and they'll send me a code when I
enter my number. So I enter my number but no code comes through so I press the RESEND CODE button, to be told I've requested too many codes and am
banned from that for 24 hours. So I can't verify anything with them. Totally crazy. |

I am not prolific by any means but was been a couple of months ago. I appealed, and got it back after a few days, and then posted even less however
two of my my four comments in the last two days were removed because I'm apparently trying to get likes....not the case at all....I don't get it |
