Booktopia - voluntary administration
Just thought I’d give you all a warning about the Booktopia website, as they have previously had competitions on there.
Booktopia have gone into voluntary administration. They have announced “outstanding orders won’t be filled and there will be no store credits,
exchanges or refunds”.
Yet, the website looks like it is operating as per normal, and will happily take your money for a purchase - knowing your purchase is not going to get
fulfilled.
Just a warning in case you were going to buy a book from Booktopia, to go elsewhere for your purchase |

Thanks. I have ordered from them several times in the past, and could easily have been caught out if their site looked as normal. How do the
administrators overlook shutting down their site immediately? Unbelievable. Sad to see them go actually, as they often had books at a cheaper price. |

I am one of the people who have two outstanding orders that I have been told will not be fulfilled and that I most likely will not get a refund on.
Apparently you are unable to purchase anything online according to the administrators but as dodger said it still looks like business as usual on
there which does not give me much hope on receiving any of my almost $200 back.

That's awful, I'm so sorry for you guys, I have bought from them over 20 times. I just went to the checkout to see if it would work and it said
"Payment Gateway Under Maintenance, Try again later"
so hopefully they are not taking any more money |
