Question for the gurus
This is from a comp: “ spend at least $15 on any product(s)”
So if an item is $14.99 is that a valid entry (given that it’s rounded up to $15.00). I paid cash, item listed as $14.99 but total was $15.00. |

I wouldn’t think so but you never know. I wouldn’t buy at that price but as you have, enter and try. Nothing to lose.
Prize wins 2014: $37680
Prize wins 2011: $13000
previous years about $25000
The harder you work the luckier you get

I bought a bottle of wine from a bottle shop for $14.99 for a comp, even though paying with cash you have to give them $15.00 (unlike paying via card
you actually get charged $14.99). I queried this with the promoters and they said it wouldn't normally be accepted, but on that one occasion they
would (and I didn't win). So needless to say, I'm not going to risk it again.

As I see it, if the product is $14.99 then it does not meet the criteria of spending $15.00 on product/s for an eligible entry. |

I agree
If the tag/shelf price said $14.99, it is not a valid entry |

I've always considered it not valid and never risked it |

I think it's not valid. I've asked retailers in the past to charge me $15 instead of $14.99 - some shops do, some can't or won't.
I believe some promotions are deliberately set at just above the standard price so you have to buy more than one product - just my thoughts.

I have had this issue before, I insisted that the cashier charge me the full $15.00. They did so, Problem solved |

Same. Cashiers can override the price to show a whole dollar amount. Have done several times. Worth asking, just ask them first if the receipt will
still say name of product. Once it came out as ‘clearance’ for item description. Had to refund. |

I wouldn't risk it no. I would always buy another product that would take me over the $14.99. |
