Tiktok video where Priceline employee brags about winning beauty cabinet comp twice

I came across this Tiktok video posted by Priceline Craigieburn Central on 1st August where employee Merva says to a customer about the Beauty Cabinet comp "It's actually so easy I won twice last year".
Ok... So these videos go back a while and Merva has definitely worked at the store for a few years.
So employees can enter Priceline comps??
WTF??!!!
The video has had over 22000 views..

This doesn't surprise me... its up there with employees entering petrol station comps and alcohol comps.

The girl at my local Cellarbrations was only telling me last week about all the prizes her boyfriend wins because she cant enter! :grind:

This is one reason for Promoters insisting on ORIGINAL receipts and not reprinted ones. It reduces the opportunity for staff in shops to use someone else's receipt.

It's still possible though for the ones that print a receipt regardless and if the customer wants it they give it to them. Otherwise the receipt could end up being given to a family member or used by the staff member themselves.

Well that sucks ! I do find the petrol station employees hold back on issuing receipts and often look surprised when you ask for one. I’m often issued duplicate receipts in IGA especially

No surprise really

Especially when both their last spend $ or more competitions never publish the minor prize winners as per t&c and ignored all messages asking about them

Best mates with BWS by the sound of it

Same at petrol stations and supermarkets.

Prize wins 2014: $37680
Prize wins 2011: $13000
previous years about $25000

The harder you work the luckier you get

Yeah I know it happens all the time, I'm only surprised that they actually made a video admitting it (tiktok is a cesspit of 💩 I can't stand it). I've complained to priceline but they don't care.

Yes my cellabrations get his girlfriend to enter and they’re going to America early next year on one of her prizes.

My Cellarbrations is the same! The girl who served me (a couple of years ago) said she enters and so does all her family! I said employees and their family aren't allowed to enter and she said "yes we are!".
No wonder it's a miracle to win one of those comps!

I had an issue years ago with our local Thirsty Camel bottle shop. Was buying something for a comp entry, mentioned it to the cashier who basically told me that no-one wins them, the manager takes the prizes home himself. This was for comps where there's one per store.

BP service stations the same. I won’t enter their comps for all of the above reasons.

Hope Priceline head office are all over it! She needs a written warning at the absolute least.

I couldn’t help myself but to inform their head office of experience, what store, description of the employee and time they were in store to cross check roster or camera they had the right one.
She needs watching, a warning (if theft of receipts) and surely they could investigate or interview other employees about the fact she is not only going, but bragging. Quite disrespect to loyal customers to hear that! As for the Manager who ‘takes them home’. Same deal contacting head office to investigate. That is theft 101. He is not above loyal customers, T&C’s, company policy or other entrants. H/o should ask for winners names, receipts and a pic for verification? Particularly as their suppliers are giving the prizes. Letting them down too. Off you trot to another job.

Dishonesty has been around for thousands of years and will be with us forever unfortunately. (Lucky for us the ancient grave robbers didn't find Tutankhamen's Tomb)

True but if we can call some out/report them, well let’s do it.

I asked for a receipt for competition the other day and the person serving was already putting it aside ... not in the bin as they usually do when a receipt is not required. She seemed both annoyed and shocked when I requested mine and reluctantly picked it up from the top of the pile of receipts she had put it on. I got the impression that she was either saving them for herself ... or for someone else.

I've seen that happen too.

Can they check credit cards numbers? Not many purchases are made in cash these days and if the credit card number is not yours then you should be disqualified/

Never had a credit card in my life

I always use cash, unless I have a gift card of some kind
