Custom Domain email
Hi all,
Just curious, would me using a custom domain email for competitions be ok?
Or should I be using a Gmail or outlook to look more authentic?
Cheers |

I'm sure a custom domain email address would be ok, however it's best to use a completely different email for comps than your usual email. Once you
start comping you'll be spammed relentlessly. For example, I get about 20 email per day on my 'official' email, but I can get about 250 email per day
on my comping email! You don't want to be searching through hundreds of email each day for an important message. |

Thanks for the heads up Smiley! Just wondering - how do you search through / filter the emails on your comping email to make sure you don't miss an
important winning email? |

Every day when I log into my comping email, the first thing I do is run a few searches on keywords that are usually found in winning emails, such as:
congrats
congratulations
you have won
you've won
winner
You can also filter these searches into a folder so that you only have to check the one folder, but I have found in the past that it doesn't always
pick up all of them. Don't know why. I comp with a Yahoo account, if that makes a difference.

I have only one email for everything. If a company I have entered a comp via starts sending me daily emails I unsubcribe after I check the comp is
finished |
