Pantry is always full

Lets just say if it rains and Hubby can't go to work for a week even months we would not starve.
I brought $40.00 worth on 2 minute noodles when the Spiderman comp was on and were still eating them.
The kids have Baked Beans or noodles for breakie and mentos for sweets.
But best of all its paid off and I love it
The poor dog thinks its a cat too

This will come as a suprise

YES. Again and again. As a choc-o-holic from way back I have been buying the BIG FINGER. And the only thing I can say(or do) is give it the big finger. Yuky Yuky I just don't like it. Now it's thought that maybe I have lost my mind completely or I'm just not at all well. I don't know which one it is but I DON'T like them. (They are so over the top I think) sickly sweet. Yes I must be SICK.
All the best

OMG i dont mean to sound nasty but seriously that is just wrong. An adult dog will not get the nutrients it needs out of puppy food :o

It won't harm dogs if you feed them cat food, but feeding cats dog food isn't good for cats...

Try this recipe, it is low fat and my family beg me to make it :)

Currant tea loaf

375g currants
1 cup cold strong tea (I once used blackcurrant tea and it was beautiful!)
1 cup brown sugar
2 cup self raising flour, sifted
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg, lightly beaten

Combine currants, sugar and tea. Cover with glad wrap and let stand for 2 hours. Add flour, cinnamon and egg. Stir until just combined. Pour into a greased and lined loaf tin. Bake at 180 degrees for 1 hour or until a skewer comes out clean. Let stand for 15 mins and turn out. Serve with butter or on its own with a cup of tea :P
It is also nice with cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on top before baking.

Sapphire ... could you please try telling my cow of a cat that ;) i've been trying for 3 years pmsl but as soon as my dog is finished eating off goes the cat to have a pick at what dog has left ;)( if any;) lolol) I feel like I'm beating my head against a brick wall ... I know it isn't good for her but if she insists on eating it .... what can i do ??? lol

I guess a little every now and then is ok but if you are going to feed your dog cat food regularly it isnt good. Pet food is made taking in consideration how much fat and nutrients that type of animal needs. If it was ok then wouldnt you think they would make a universal food and not food for individual animals?

i bought some schmackos yesterday, for the new kennel comp, I'll pass them on to my sister's dog, he will appreciate them! :D

The fish oil in cat food is actually good for your dogs coat ... you should not feed cats dogfood they have trouble digesting it because their digestive systems are different ... However dogs can eat catfood with no apparent problems ... )this comes str8 from my vet ;)) although he did say you should not make a habit of feeding dogs cat food ;)

hehe Wenchy it would only hurt her if that all she was fed, eating that small amount won't harm her....

I never feed my dogs canned food and if I do, I only give them cat food cause my husky refuses to eat the dog food

I have often bought dog and cat food ....don't own either but I bring them back to the supermarket the next time and leave them in the Animal Shelter basket...minus the barcodes ;);););)

Have many packets of Liptons...etc etc etc but will plough through it all in time.....

Funny how the Kit Kats don't stay around much..(only on the waist !!)

I also subscribe to about 5 different mags....

My cats refuse to eat Pal dogfood. I'll have to give it to my sister for her dog, and the Smackos. I bought a lot of those IXL Fruit plus bars, they really aren't very nice. Kids & husband won't eat them. Now I'm on a daily ritual of Lowan's muesli for breakfast (just bought 4 more bags, hope to win!) ixl fruit bar for smoko, and lots of cups of tea and coffee, Continental cup of soup for lunch (so many to get thru) Sunbeam dried plums and piece of fruit cake for afternoon tea and baked beans or spaghetti on toast at least twice a week to use them up. The things we do. Have two winter singlet vest things from big w comp, never wear them and everyone's got RIO socks, jocks, undies and bras for Xmas and birthday. Has anyone here won in a RIO COMP?

Thanks for that info whenchy. I was worried about our cats and dog eating each others food. The cat died so its not a problem anymore but the main problem was the dog was eating all the cats food and not eating his own food. Then he payed for it because his stomach was so bloated from eating the entire bowl (hes only little). And he wouldnt let the cat near his food so yeh thats why I think its best to not let them eat each others food
