Imagine how much toilet paper we will all have buying those 16 packs of Wondersoft for the Woolie's comp! I'll need a spare room, but at least it will eventually get used.:D

LOL, I bought two packs today, and dumped them in the bathroom. Hubby came home before I'd had a chance to "hide" them, and asked quizzically if we were having beans for dinner!

   only if there's a comp on beans dear!!!

With 6 in this house and 4 of those female we don't have a stock pile of loo paper for too long.

All of our trees out the back have birdseed hanging in them. Yes there is a birdseed comp... no we don't have a bird... can't make the kids eat it!:o:D:D

Yeech....

I've brought that "Tasty Bite" frozen & packet food - we hate it, too hot and mushy, so ONE entry is all I'm doing, as can't face any more of that....
Wouldn't it be fun if I got to go to New York?? with ONE entry?? :D:D - I feel we deserve it after swallowing this awful stuff, won't buy it ever again, ditto that Rogan Josh stuff, ugh! hot and horrible :o:o
PLUS I bought two packets of that Wondersoft loo paper, then I LOST one barcode I'd cut out, (searched everywhere for it too.) so only got ONE entry for that too. griffin

I wish I had bought more of this - I hate buying toilet paper that is not on competition!!!!!!

Nope!!! Never bought anything I can't use for a comp. Not my style (cheapskate style that is:P ) although I do buy extras of things we do use. With 5 allergic piggies we go through kleenex by the case. And since we have 6 toilets in our house, extra toilet paper never goes astray :o :o :o

6 toilets??!?! Who cleans them all? LOL
I went through the kleenex for the towel thing and the $200,000 thing and OH got [Censored]ty every shopping day coz I wouldnt buy coles brand tissues. What he doesnt understand is (he refuses to use a tissue ) that when you have the flu, which I did at the time, you NEED expensive soft tissues!!! :D

I am the toilet cleaner!!! Except for number one daughters...theoretically she cleans her own. I am often seen running around the house with a bottle of harpic and a toilet brush!!

Amberpamba I can't agree more....there is no place in our house for cheap tissues or toilet paper!! Only Kleenex tissues and only the double rolls of either kleenex or quilton toilet paper!! There will be a revolution if any cheap crispy alternative is purchased!!

kembc , have found the Wondersosft in packs of four at IGA & coles have the 8 pack , gets you a few more entries that way , have tried not to think about the extra cost just more entries . Have been buying the various cat food only when on special & I don't have a cat but my man does & Mr biscuit (CAT) enjoys the treats :)

Well, I finally did it. I bought dogfood so as to enter a comp and yep, we don't have a dog. My kids are so ashamed of me...................... but, hey, if I win, they'll think it is cool.

My dog usually only gets the cheap dog food. But he just loves competitions. He gets MY DOG brand and just loves it when he sees those little tins of cat food....mind you I only buy the beef and heart, turkey, grilled chicken etc....I do not make him eat the fishy ones. BUT having said that.....our dog....and I'm so proud of him has won us a trip to LA...a Dr Dolittle competition.... and a cat food DINE holiday to Sheraton Mirage. so there you go....sometimes it pays to buy the stuff you would not normally get.......I think I'm a LONG way in front. Good luck to you all with your EXTRA purchases.

My Gosh, I never buy anything for comps, except stuff that I was planning to buy anyway and will buy the comp brand but I usually only buy one of them, unless we use more, I can't justify spending the money, too win money that I would have more than likely had if i had not bought them.

Was wondering if anyone added up their spends on competition products compared with the wins for those products, do you really benefit? Was wondering this with the recent Gillette comp and lots of people winning heaps of unuseable stuff, that you would just give away or throw out!

I guess I'm a tight ass!lol! I'm so sad with the mags getting tossed I love reading mags I usually forget to enter the comps but, lol!

Always and can't help myself either LOL. Lucky enough that we have a spare room for storage.
Plus usually excess of many items are donated to charities :)

I just bought my first item: That's Life magazine, so I could enter the comps; didn't read any of it. I have to say though, those puzzles are good for the ego. :)

ALL the TIME.. LOL

But I find in buying stuff I would not usually buy that I get to try some different things and sometimes discover products that I have gone on to buy all the time. I guess that is the whole point of comps (marketing)

Cheers

Just a thought, but, anyone buying cat or dog food unneccesarily could give it to the RSPCA. I know that our local one accepts donations, so it could be a win-win situation.

Anyone want to buy a packet of Tena unused incontinence pads?? If I keep them for 20 years? I may even start using them?
I just can't go past a competition.
Can't win it if I'm not in it.

I haven't started buying baby food or dog food yet???

Yes!!! I am guilty of buying too many things that i normally don't buy.(trying hard to win a holiday to Italy) Problem is i have gained 8 Kilos since i joined lottos, eating lots of chocolates, heaps of cheese and crackers, lollies, bread, etc. I didn't have a weight problem before. I may have to join other members in the weight loss club. As of today i have promised myself not to enter any more comps that require such purchases. I guess i will find out soon just how addicted i am to entering comps.

Epson ink....purchase and wol entry. I did my wol first and convinced I had a winning entry purchased the ink. Luckily I was right and won an iPod.

Totally agree that lottos is no good if you need to watch your weight. Hubby and I had agreed not to buy timtams and chocolate anymore...then comes along an arnotts and cadbury comp!

At this time of the year it's easy to purchase large comp items and give them away for Christmas...but keep the receipts and enter the comps. So far I have bought grog, books, dvds, toys.
